120 kWp Grid-Connected Solar PV Parking Structure at CSVTU, Bhilai

Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai, has established a 120 kWp Grid-Connected Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Parking Structure since the year 2017 as a significant step towards promoting renewable energy and sustainable campus development. The solar parking facility not only generates clean electricity from solar energy but also provides shaded parking space for vehicles, ensuring efficient utilization of available land.

The power generated from the system is synchronized with the utility grid and contributes to meeting the university's electricity demand, thereby reducing dependence on conventional energy sources and lowering carbon emissions. The installation serves as a live demonstration and research facility for students, researchers, and faculty members in the fields of renewable energy, energy management, and sustainable engineering practices.
