CSVTU Sports Department: Designed to develop athletic talent, promote physical education, provide academic and practical training in sports sciences, and foster a culture of sportsmanship and overall student development.
Overview
Sports departments encompass a variety of functions aimed at holistic development. Their objectives typically include promoting physical fitness, team spirit, discipline, and leadership, while providing formal training for students to compete at inter-college, state, national, or international levels.
Key Priorities Include
- Identifying and nurturing sports talent within the student body.
- Combining rigorous physical training with programs in Sport Science, Sport Medicine, Physical Education and Coaching.
Zonal Classifications
For smooth coordination among our massive network of affiliated institutions, the sports department structures competitions across 5 dedicated sporting zones.
Major Events
The university routinely hosts and prepares selection camps for 20 high-level sport events including the Inter-Zone Athletics Competition, State-Level Weightlifting Championships, Inter-Zone Football, Handball, Chess, and Kho-Kho tournaments.
Unified State-Level Competitions
Teams from the University Teaching Department (UTD) participate in state-level cricket and multi-sport tournaments against other regional institutes.

- Raunak Kumar Behra - Weight Category 71 KG - Won Bronze Medal in Kick Boxing (MEN) competition held at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Meerut in Session 2024-2025.
- Ujjwal Meshram - Weight Category 57 KG - Won Bronze Medal in Kick Boxing (MEN) competition held at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Meerut in Session 2024-2025.
- Rupali Sahu - Weight Category 50 KG - Won Bronze Medal in Kick Boxing (WOMEN) competition held at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Meerut in Session 2024-2025.
AIU All India Stick Fighting Competition
- Keerat Kaur - Women's Category - Won Bronze Medal in Stick Fighting (WOMEN) competition held at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Meerut in Session 2025-2026.
