Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai, established by the Chhattisgarh State Legislature under Act No. 25 of 2004, stands as a premier institution dedicated to advancing technical education in the State and the Nation. Since its inception on 21 January 2005, the University has been committed to fostering systematic, efficient, and quality education in Engineering & Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy, Diploma, Postgraduate, and Research programmes.

The University was inaugurated on 30 April 2005 by the then Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, marking the beginning of a distinguished journey of academic service and institutional growth. Since then, CSVTU has continuously endeavoured to uphold excellence in education, innovation, research, and outreach, while responding to the evolving needs of society and industry.

In its pursuit of academic reform and excellence, the University has consistently strengthened its teaching-learning framework through progressive curriculum development, incorporation of soft skills, entrepreneurship, human values, health and wellness, and project-based learning. The University has also incorporated the National Education Policy (NEP) framework in B.Tech. and Diploma courses, reaffirming its commitment to flexibility, multidisciplinary learning, skill orientation, and outcome-based education.

Spread across approximately 250 acres in the vicinity of Bhilai, the permanent campus of the University reflects its long-term vision of growth and excellence. The University continues to strengthen its academic, administrative, and digital systems to ensure transparency, efficiency, and timely delivery of services, including reforms in evaluation and result processing.
