Welcome to the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai.  It is a State Government University with a vision to be one of the World’s leading innovative and creative Technical Universities recognized locally, nationally and internationally for excellence in teaching, research, and public service.

          Though the University has been recently established (year 2005), yet it is proud of delivering quality services in terms of designing course work for various disciplines being taught in its affiliated institutions imparting education in  engineering, architecture, business management, computer applications and pharmacy. 

          Being located in the one of the most progressive region of India and in the proximity of Bhilai Steel Plant, it has nurtured healthy industry-institute linkage.  M. Tech programme of two year duration in Steel Technology designed and executed by the University is a testimony to the linkage.

           Maintaining and continuously improving  the quality of technical education in the State of  Chhattisgarh is the top most agenda in the activities of the University.  For this purpose, the process of teaching learning and evaluation is consistently upgraded and monitored. 

           Considering challenges looming before the fresh graduates in the professional world, the University embeds and ensures the development of interpersonal skills and human values through the curriculum. 

          The University is seeking collaboration with some of the leading technological Universities across the globe and preparing itself to impart education in cutting edge technologies including Nanotechnology.  While doing so, the future sustainability of mankind is being always kept as the uppermost objective.  A Consortium for Application of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development has been formed by the University.  Participation from all those who are concerned and associated with the Sustainable Development is earnestly solicited.
